Ilvait (M1088)
Greece
LOCATION
Koundouros, Serifos, Milos, South Aegean, Greece
SIZE
82 x 72 x 40 mm
DESCRIPTION
Ilvaite is generally not a very common mineral and next to Dalnegorsk and Inner Mongolia Serifos is one of the three most important localities for the species. In Europe the only locality of relevance! And look at the dimensions of this piece! And all crystals are sharp, semi-lustrous and complete and well shaped also at the reverse. The light matrix at the lower gives a very eye-catching contrast to this exceptional specimen.
