DESCRIPTION
Celebrating the 1000th specimen online, I offer one specimen from my alpine collection! This is a specimen from one of the very best and most famous Titanite-discoveries in entire Alps. Discovered in the 70ties by the famous Austrian Strahler Ferdinand Stockmaier. The crystal is highly trasnparent - I show one photo without any backlight, just under indirect daylight. The second photo was done with minor backlight. The crystal shows numerous different tones of green, but also some cognac-like zonings. It shows perfect luster all around, razor sharp termination and it perfectly sits on an aggregate of sparkling snowy white Adularia crystals. It is developed as floater, the Adularia crystals are even sharp and well developed at the base. It´s a perfect piece, can be displayed 360° and in perfect condition! Ex Martin Gruell collection.
