Libethenite can be generally judged as rare mineral. The type locality is Polipe in Lubietova - today in Slovakia. But when the mineral was discovered in 1823 is was Hungarian territory. Here we have a very fine specimen with an uncommon large, sharp terminated main crystal in a very exposed position. The faces are lustrous and show a very attractive texture. The crystal is complete all around and undamaged.
