DESCRIPTION
Alexandrite is a green Cr-bearing variety of chrysoberyl, named in honor to Zar Alexander II. This mineral shows the so called "Alexandrite"-effect. It appears in green color under daylight-temperature and changes to pink under artificial light. Here we have an exposed sharp terminated and glossy crystal set on dark matrix. The free-standing part is also well developed at the back-side. No significant damage to report.
