DESCRIPTION

There are several different quality parameters for Rhodochrosite from Sweet Home, most are less red, less lustrous and for sure much smaller! Although at least 90% are not as gemmy as the particular one. The main crystal is a reunion of all important indicators: it is sharp terminated, it shows the very best, most intense blood-red color and it shows an absolutely exceptional gemmy quality (most crystals are red, but opal - at this particular crystal the transparency is so high, that you can see your finger behind the crystal; that’s cut quality)!

And it is really HUGE! The main crystal is 40mm from left to right hand side, 34mm tall and 15mm thick - and it is complete also backside!

And even if you - and not nature - can create a specimen it could not be more aesthetic. The crystal is completely exposed and freestanding. It is set on a thin tower of matrix, which is completely covered with sparkling, snowy white Quartz crystals and a few Tetrahedrite crystals between. The crystal seems to be sparked on this elegant matrix - overall one of the most exciting specimen I ever saw from the locality.
