About the locality Twenger Au. „Au“ is the German word for a forest along a river or a creek. „Tweng“ is the name of a little village in a few kilometers distance. The discoverer found a small area where the tectonic layers where raise up about 7 millions of years ago, when the mountain range grew. This is just a blink of an eye in geology, just a small area of not even twenty meters where the lower layer break through the upper layer caused by tectonic happenings. it would need about 30 years of mining to dig down in the ground to get to this contact zone again, so this is really unique material. And this specimen shows superb translucency in combination with most intense electric blue. It is formed like a mushroom with a lighter thin base. Developed as floater, undamaged.
