Caused by a disturbance of growth the edges of the octahedron is konvex - this habit is called "Ochsenauge", thisn habit is known only from historic discoveries in Germany, from small finds in China and New Mexico - so very unique and rare habit! This isolated crystal shows an alomost colorless area along all edges and caused by the good transparency you can see a dark violet concentration of color in the center. The crystal is 24 mm across and shows fine contrast to light matrix.
