Fluorite (M864)
Next to Spessartine and Smoky Quartz, Fluorite is the most important mineral at the locality - light lavender to purple crystals were found there - usually 1 to 3 cm tall. What we have here is phenomenal: the crystal is 11cm across, and it is complete all around! The faces are partly highly lustrous, some areas are frosted. The transperency in the center - where the crystal is most thick - is so good that it even doens´t need backlight, along the outer zones to the corners there is partly more and darker concentration of purple color which needs a little more light. The inetnsity of these areas is really mind-blowing! For all standards - even for China with all it´s industrial minds and large discoveries - this is exceptional size and color!
