This is from one isolated discovery and if you compare with localities world-wide you will see, that these are the very best Pyrite spheres ever existed. It was a small discovery and I know only a fist full of pieces in this category. You know Oliver Konczer - he had one of them, also Fabian Wildfang owns a piece, further I know a collection in US, which also includes one similar piece - but overall there are only a few people who were lucky to get one of those!
But now more about the piece: it is a perfect sphere and stabil since around 30 years. It shows amazing color - it is not a common color for Pyrite, more golden with some iridescent layers. And there is no damage, not even a minor chip, no contact, no less attractive angle - pure perfection. It is set exactly in the center of highly lustrous, sharp terminated milky Quartz crystals - they are also all in perfect condition. And the dimension with a diameter of 89 mm is really amazing - again, you won´t find anything compare-able from any other locality on this planet. This is for sure one of the most exceptional rarities from Romania and one of the most eye-catching discoveries from the whole area. I had not even one during all these years and know only 3 to 4 pieces on this level.
