The specimen was mined in the famouse summit-cleft (2.650m above sea-level; South slope). The discovery of the summit cleft is descripted in Mineralogical Records, July issue 2010. It is an exceptional huge specimen with crystals up to 11,5 cm size! The specimen was effected by water which caused a slightly natural etches surface. But the crystals structure and habit are still intact. Even if the specimen is quite thick, you still can use backligth to make the internal color visible. The crystals have different colored zones, so the color varies with the thickness nad, of course, the kids of light.
Without backlit the crystals show dark violet color. In good condition overall. Please note, that this is the last real good specimen we have on sale from the summit cleft. The cleft is empty now and nothing more is coming out since years.
