Wulfenite, Calcite (486)

Ahmad Abad mine, Yazd prov., Iran

9,8 x 6,7 x 5,6 cm

This specimen shows a 2,6 cm large main crystal with a dark orange color. The item is developed as a floater where the Wulfenite is crystallized in a concave matrix. The crystals edges are covered by white, microcrystallized Calcite which gives a great contrast to the Wulfenite. Some tiny crystals of Vanadinite are also present on some Wulfenite.

This specimen is published in „Mineralienwelt“ magazine, issue 05, 2015.
